本書首先繫統地梳理詞彙搭配研究領域繁雜的概念與研究方法,並采用"基於使用的理論"對詞彙搭配的概念以及認知機理進行理論構建。其次,作者在理論分析的基礎上,提出影響二語搭配習得的兩個重要因素,即共現頻率和搭配強度;並采用語料庫、在線測試、書面測試等方法,證實共現頻率和搭配強度對二語搭配習得所產生的影響,為進一步探索二語習得中半預制語塊的認知機理提供實證數據。很後,本書提出了研究結果對英語詞彙搭配教學的啟示。
