王開文編著的這本《眼紅斑痤瘡》是首部專門論
述眼紅斑痤瘡的專著，對該病從基礎醫學到臨床實踐
進行了全面繫統地闡述。全書共11章，前兩章闡述本
病的流行病學、預防和病因學，以及皮膚和眼紅斑痤
瘡的病理生理、臨床表現等。第三章論述眼病的中醫
辨證論治。第四章到第十章分別論述瞼皮炎及瞼腺疾
病，瞼板腺功能障礙，干眼，結膜、角膜、鞏膜乃至
眼內組織損害。第十一章介紹了至今了解甚少的兒科
眼紅斑痤瘡。書中列舉了臨床實例進一步證實眼紅斑
痤瘡疾病的多發性，指出確診的依據。本書是眼科醫
生從事醫療、教學、研究工作的必備用書，亦可供皮
膚科、病理科、兒科以及中西醫結合方面的醫生參考
，還可作為家庭、個人養生保健用書。
書中內容大部分為作者臨床研究經驗總結，多為
國內首次發表和報道；部分為國際首次發現和確定，
如結膜下出血、炎性及非炎性血管增生和紐結、並發
性白內障以及淚腺封閉療法等。
