2012年和2013年,北京外國語大學美國研究中心
和美國教育基金會合作,連續舉辦了兩期高校教授美
國研究的教師暑期講習班,由北京外國語大學美國研
究中心的教師主持。他們從政治學、經濟學、社會學
、文化學、文學、國際關繫等方面入手,介紹了美國
研究的各個方面。前後參加講習班的老師有30多人。
在了解反饋的基礎上,經過對講稿的修改,梅仁毅編
輯了這本《美國研究十一講(英文版)》。這本書編寫
的目的就是要回答下面幾個問題:美國為什麼能在短
短的兩百多年間發展成為世界上唯一的超級大國?美
國在崛起過程中踫到什麼問題,是如何解決的?美國
的現狀如何?相關回答可以使讀者對美國有比較本質
