錢學森著的《物理力學講義》是錢學森20世紀50
年代在美國加州理工學院授課時的講義，它從物質的
微觀結構出發，提供計算工程技術中所用介質和材料
的熱力學性質的方法。
本書第1章緒論闡明了物理力學的內容、觀點和
方法。第2、第3、第4章是基礎原理。第5章到第9章
分別處理氣體、固體和液體的熱力學性質，說明了從
分子結構計算宏觀性質的方法。第10章到第13章處理
各種輸運過程，像熱傳導、黏滯性、擴散、中子慢化
及熱輻射等。
本書的特點是給出了明確具體而切實可行的計算
方法，使得工程介質和材料的熱力學性質可以不完全
依靠實驗就能確定。
