本書由陳金鳳、魯婭妮共同策劃、設計整體框架、審查校訂並參與編寫。參
編人員分別為內蒙古電子信息職業技術學院的魯婭妮，內蒙古農業大學職業技
術學院旅遊管理繫外語教研室的達古拉、銀花，內蒙古農業大學外國語言學院
的段睿、劉海紅和陳金鳳。全書共由組成，涵蓋了從旅行前的辦理簽證、預定機票、兌換外幣，到旅行過程中的住宿、遊覽觀光、購物，再到旅行中突發狀況的求助等出國旅行相關問題的方方面面。包括9到12個旅遊實用對話，每組對話都有一個側重點。以第一部分的三組對話為例，雖然三組對話都是關於向旅行社咨詢旅行信息的，但是第一組對話主要側重比較跟團旅遊和自駕遊的優劣，而第二組對話則重點探討兩條不同線路的取舍，第三組對話著重體現了旅行社接待員對欲出行者的耐心指導。除了這些對話以外，編者還以這些對話為基礎，提煉、總結出話題相關的實用英語表達語句，這些實用表達語句具有典型性和代表性，是的重點，有利於學生集中學習、舉一反三。還測試題，主要有詞彙、翻譯、閱讀和完形填空四種題型。這些習題能夠幫助學生復習鞏所學知識，是學生自我檢測的重要形式。後面還附有文化注釋，文化注釋部分詳盡介紹了英語國家日常文化生活的方方面面，可以幫助學生全方位、多角度地了解英語國家的語言和文化。書中的旅遊景點主要選自英國、美國和加拿大這三個主要的英語國家，希望能夠增強學生對這三個國家旅遊文化的了解。
