張建寧主編的《新編大學英語基礎聽力進階（2）》為聽力教材的第二冊用書。本冊共。均由四個部分組成：第一部分為關鍵詞聽力技能訓練；第二部分聽力任務技能訓練，每圍繞著一個中心話題展開，其中同時涵蓋了與主題相關的語言信息。第三部分1為與英語應用能力考試（A級）真題難度和形式一致的模擬題，6難度和題量有所增加，便於學生進行自我測試；第四部分是專為提高學生對英語的興趣安排的幽默小故事或短文。本冊教材略高於大學英語3級水平。
