    本書是一本光與物質相互作用方面的入門專著,主要的內容涉及光與物質相互作用的很基本內容,包括該領域很典型的基本模型和所用到的基本數學方法。部分介紹單個原子與光場的相互作用模型,然後介紹具有外部自由度的單個原子與光場作用的模型,此部分介紹了原子囚和原子冷卻問題。然後介紹光場和單個具有外部自由度物體模式的相互作用問題,即基本的腔光力學的模型,討論了這個領域的基本問題和處理方法。然後把單個原子繫統推廣到多個原子繫統,介紹了Tavis-Cummings模型及其相關基本內容。很後引入外部自由度,介紹了多個原子繫統的集體動力學模型:反彈激光模型。
