本教材為《英語聽力入門3000》的修訂版,在原版基礎上增加了訪談、講座、影視作品等視頻材料,以滿足全國各地院校日益增長的對視聽說結合型教材的需求。通過視頻材料與穿那套聽力材料結合,可以增強對學生的興趣刺激,貼近現實中的交際情境,推動傳統聽力課程像視聽說課程類型轉化。
《英語聽力入門2000》是在千禧之年的鐘聲裡邁出步的。當時有朋友鼓勵說,它的誕生使初版《英語聽力入門》煥發出了青春的活力。而今,多少個寒暑又已過去,我們或許應該說,正在一步一步進入而立之年的教材又必須重新振奮,因為唯獨如此,它纔有可能在真正意義上走向成熟。這就是歷史賦予《英語聽力入門3000》的責任與光榮。在冷靜的反思之後,編者從《聽力入門》(以下均使用簡稱)與《聽力入門2000》各自的特色和缺陷裡初步悟到了《聽力入門3000》的方向。20世紀80年代初開始醞釀《聽力入門》的時候,中國大地剛剛改革開放,英語學習熱潮四處升騰。基於當時的教學實際,編者將重點牢牢地鎖定在英語有聲語言的真實性以及聽力基本功訓練等兩個方面。之後多年的實踐證明,比較繫統和扎實細致的技能訓練對增強學生的能力與後勁是至關重要的。到《聽力入門2000》出版之時,全國的英語教學水平已普遍提高,社會巨變所帶來的新鮮氣像和熱門話......
