    外文出版社與軍事科學出版社聯合策劃並推出《抗美援朝戰爭史》一書英文版。《抗美援朝戰爭史》是中華人民共和國中央軍事委員會交給中國人民解放軍軍事科學院的重大課題。該書中文版於2000年由軍事科學出版社首次出版,並分別於2011年、2013年進行了修訂、改版,該書2001年被評為全國精神文明建設“五個一工程”獎。該書是中國第一部全面、繫統反映抗美援朝戰爭的歷史著作,也是專享一部“官修正史”,可以說是目前中國國內抗美援朝戰爭史研究水平優選、最權威的一部著作,在國際上眾多關於朝鮮戰爭的史書中獨樹一幟,充分展現了中國觀點和中國立場。該書從1949年10月1日新中國成立後面臨的形式和任務寫起,一直到1958年10月25日中國人民志願軍全部撤出朝鮮,全面、客觀地記述了抗美援朝戰爭的歷史,充分運用史料並有針對性地闡述了對這場戰爭中許多重大問題的認識,建立了不同於西方“傳統”觀點的朝鮮戰爭新視角。該書由軍事科等
